Frequently asked questions
What is Giving Tuesday?
Giving Tuesday is a 24-hour fundraising event on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving in the United States. We are asking the entire Trevor community — supporters, donors, fundraisers, streamers, staff, and friends to come together to raise resources to support Trevor's mission to end suicide among LGBTQ+ young people. Your gift will ensure we can provide 24/7 crisis counseling and conduct research and advocacy work to ensure policies and legislation are in place to support and protect LGBTQ+ youth.
How do I participate?
On Tuesday, March 25, 2025, visit thetrevorproject.org/TogetherForTrevorDay to make your gift, post on your social media sites to encourage your community to do make a gift, too, and wear Trevor orange to show your support and celebrate our life-saving work.
Is my contribution tax-deductible?
Yes. Your gift will be entirely tax-deductible. You will receive an email confirmation that will serve as your receipt for tax purposes.
Is my donation secure?
Yes. Your security and privacy is our highest priority. We use industry-standard SSL technology to keep your information safe and secure.
How is my personal data handled?
Your personal data is processed in accordance with our privacy policy and also in accordance with the privacy policy of Classy, our website partner.
What does 'Hide my name from the public' mean?
On Together For Trevor Giving Day, all donors have the option to hide their donor details. This prevents the donor name and gift amount from being displayed on the Together for Trevor Day page. Clicking 'Hide my name from the public' does not designate a gift anonymous. It just means it will not appear on the site.
