Through legislation, litigation, and public education, The Trevor Project advocates for policies that help prevent suicide among LGBTQ+ young people. This includes advancing policy reforms at the federal, state, and local level to address factors that place them at a significantly higher risk of suicide.

Pride Donor Stories

Picture of Ray, wearing a red Trans America Ride t-shirt

I’m a 58-year-old, straight, cis father of three. After the election cycle of 2024, with the increasing threats to queer and trans rights and lives, I was desperately trying to find a way to be a more visible and effective ally to my two trans children.

I decided to bike across the country to connect with people from all walks of life and to support the fantastic work of The Trevor Project. In my second year, I will be riding from Florida to Maine starting May 22, and riding through Pride Month. I hope you will support The Trevor Project in any way you can.

Supporting The Trevor Project means standing up for a simple belief: everyone deserves to be seen, valued, and treated equally—no exceptions. At a time when critical support systems are being cut, they step in to provide life-saving resources and a voice for LGBTQ+ youth who might otherwise have nowhere to turn.

At Mellow Monkey, inclusivity isn’t a trend—it’s a promise; our doors are, and always will be, open as a safe, welcoming space for everyone.
